⚠️ The playlist description contains some spoilers. If you have not finished the series, proceed with caution.
Ask anyone to describe me and one of the top things they’ll say will most likely include my love for music. It could range anywhere from ‘DJ in a past life’ to ‘would crush it in a lip sync battle’ to ‘knows the lyrics to most every song’ 🤣 What can I say? Music is a HUGE part of my life!
Music can change how I feel in an instant and I have playlists that match every mood. For example, if I need to be pumped up, you bet I’m turning on my ‘Spring Break 2018’ playlist (#IYKYK) 🙌 If I’m looking for an eclectic mix of fast/slow, I turn on one of my seasonal playlists. And yes, I did make playlists for when I was in labor 💁♀️
But a new level of my music/playlist making has been unlocked since starting reading fiction again, especially fantasy. Now when I listen to songs, the lyrics remind me of characters, plot points, or elements to books! I’ve been debating whether to make them into a thing or not… 😬
…but I decided to go for it because the world needs some book related, curated playlists! 😉
When I jumped back into the fantasy world, I started with Sarah J Maas of course! Though I read ACOTAR first, the songs didn’t start really coming to me until I was reading Throne of Glass. That’s why I chose Throne of Glass as my first book playlist 🦌
If you have Spotify, you can check out the playlist HERE or listen below! Be warned, because this isn’t my 2007 iTunes account, I can’t change titles or album covers for you to know exactly who each song is for. So to make up for that, here’s a list of who/what each song represents! 🎶
NOTE: Some songs are purely based on vibes (like the song for the cadre), but most have a connection to lyrics, too.

I’d LOVE to hear in the comments! And while you’re at it, let me know if you’d like to see more playlists. I had such a blast putting this together and might already be halfway thru an ACOTAR one as I type. 😉
